LaGuardia Delays Pressure Government to Open

In the longest shutdown in US government history, each pay period brought new hardships and more stories of how government touched far more people in positive ways than we have given credit for nearly four decades. But when LaGuardia airport delays hit on the same day that 50% of the IRS employees called back to work to prepare to process tax returns didn’t show up, it was too much pressure. For three weeks at least, the government is open.
