Jack Deschauer
Vice President
Vice President Jack Deschauer provides clients with strategic vision and execution honed during over 10 years of top-level agency experience. His expertise extends to political affairs, program management, crisis management, grassroots initiatives, corporate communications, media relations and special event advance and management.
Mr. Deschauer has helped foreign governments manage communications with Congress and assisted Pratt & Whitney in its four-year battle to end funding for the alternate engine for the Joint Strike Fighter and in publicizing the groundbreaking “PurePower” engine. He also raised the media profile of Scientific American magazine and handled crises for numerous high-profile clients, including Run-DMC and the Chandra Levy family.
An experienced manager of sports-related issues, served for four years as public relations director for the two-time world champion Washington Kastles of World TeamTennis. He has also assisted a number of celebrity athletes through crises, including the NFL’s “Spygate,” the Jayson Williams trial, and the suspension of Tim Montgomery by the World Anti-Doping Agency. Additionally, he created and implemented the communications and marketing strategy for one of the nation’s best-selling nutritional supplements.
In recognition of his outstanding work, Mr. Deschauer was awarded a Silver Anvil and a Bulldog Award for his advocacy work on behalf of the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.
Prior to joining Levick, Mr. Deschauer worked 11 years at Qorvis Communications, LLC. He was one of the company’s first employees, handling a variety of public affairs, corporate communications, crisis management, and media relations programs. He also created and managed the firm’s internship program.
Before joining Qorvis, Mr. Deschauer spent two years at CBS, working at Face the Nation and with CBS Sports in New York. Mr. Deschauer is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the New Jersey State Society.
A native of New Jersey, Mr. Deschauer has more than 15 years of youth sports coaching experience. He earned his B.A. in communications with a concentration in public relations from the University of Maryland, College Park.
