Greg Wilson, Senior Vice President at Levick Strategic Communications, is a seasoned professional with more than 17 years experience in public relations, public affairs, government relations, and lobbying. He has partnered with business and institutional clients throughout the world during his career as a public relations consultant, corporate public affairs director, crisis counselor, registered lobbyist, and congressional staffer.
Mr. Wilson co-heads Levick’s legal services practice group, providing communications counsel to dozens of clients in the legal marketplace. He is also one of the firm’s crisis counselors – providing onsite and immediate crisis counsel to companies and organizations in their darkest hours.
Before joining Levick, Mr. Wilson managed internal and external communications for a publicly-traded chemical company, where he was responsible for developing and executing an aggressive strategy spanning North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. He also managed the company's congressional and regulatory lobbying efforts.
As a Vice President at Shandwick Public Affairs in Washington, D.C., Mr. Wilson oversaw a multimillion dollar account portfolio. His clients included Monsanto Co., Solutia Inc., American Air Museum in Britain, U.S. English, Towers Perrin, the Paging Services Council, Sprint PCS, California Products Corporation, WKYS, the National Indian Gaming Association, AAA, and Filene's Basement. Mr. Wilson also ran media for high-profile events on Capitol Hill, at the Supreme Court, the National Press Club, and on location with former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. He has prepared high-visibility speakers, including former Vice President Albert Gore and former FEMA Director James Lee Witt, for media and business events.
Mr. Wilson began his career as an aide on Capitol Hill. Later he assisted Senator Robert Dole's presidential campaign and was responsible for surrogate media relations during the 1996 Republican National Convention.
His work has earned Mr. Wilson several public relations industry honors, including the CIPRA and Bulldog awards. He is a graduate of Hamilton College with a BA in Public Policy, and has completed executive education coursework in marketing at the University of Chicago.
