Financial Communications

Activist investors. M&A. Monetizing events. Regulatory challenges.

In today’s global marketplace, monetizing events and large-scale transactions are among the toughest tests of corporate mettle. Whether it’s a merger, an acquisition, or an Initial Public Offering (IPO), principals must control the narrative from start to finish or swim upstream against the perceptions established by adversaries. As corporate reputations, management’s credibility, and volatile share prices hang in the balance, failure to successfully complete and integrate transactions simply is not an option.

Close the Deal

With expertise honed on Wall Street and in Washington, DC’s halls of power during the most intense moments of billion-dollar transactions, Levick counselors are veterans of Fortune 500 companies, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Capitol Hill, and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Our team works with attorneys, investment bankers, accounting firms, and other deal team members to ensure that a client’s messages ring boldly and credibly to secure the support that’s needed to win.

Maximize Value

Equally important is the need to communicate effectively with Wall Street in the day-to-day effort to maximize market value, reduce the cost of capital, and underscore management’s credibility and competence. Amid public distrust and the unremitting demand for transparency and accountability, companies and organizations have the need to clearly and consistently articulate their messages to shareholders, analysts, lawmakers, regulators, and employees. Failure to do so often ignites a series of actions that can take current management out of the driver’s seat.

We effectuate dialogue between corporate management and investors that builds partnerships and aligns interests. Political risk also was a consideration, as valuable properties were located in West Africa. In a further complication, a major proxy advisory service advised investors to vote against management.
