Derede McAlpin, Vice-President of Levick Strategic Communications, is a leading diversity consultant to professional organizations in the United States as well as a top litigation communications specialist. Successful diversity programs depend on effective communications, and Derede provides firms with pioneering counsel on how to create success in the pursuit of diversity, and how to then build on that success. 
 
Derede has worked countless newsrooms covering an extraordinary diversity of cases. One case was the basis of the film Silence of the Lambs. A former judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Ms. McAlpin started her career on the news team of Philadelphia's leading ABC affiliate, WPVI-TV. Derede also led media relations for Howard University and Howard University Hospital.
