Tim Callan serves as Levick’s chief researcher and analyst, providing clients the benefit of the timeliest intelligence and analysis. He works closely with Levick’s digital media team to support all practice areas, with an emphasis on the public affairs and government contracting practices. Mr. Callan has worked in multiple capacities for the firm nearly since its inception, as a full-time employee and consultant.
Prior to rejoining Levick in January 2011, Mr. Callan was Associate Deputy Comptroller from 2006-2010 in the Office of the Erie County Comptroller, the chief financial, accounting and auditing officer for Erie County, NY. He also served as director of research and legislation and spokesman for the Erie County Legislature’s Democratic Caucus from 2003-2005.
Mr. Callan worked for Representative John J. LaFalce, a member of Congress who was the Ranking Member on the U.S. House of Representatives Financial Services Committee. From 1998-2001, he was a media relations specialist for Levick. Prior to that, Mr. Callan worked for the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Advisory Board Company, a private-sector think tank based in Washington, DC.
Mr. Callan has a doctorate in political science, a Master's degree in international relations, and a Bachelor of Art's degree in political science.
