Merging Markets

A merger of Middle East banks would make it impossible for a firm to recover huge payments owed it by one of the institutions. Direct pressure on regional media was impracticable.   

A global media strategy was deployed instead, building country-to-country coverage until Gulf media had little choice but to cover the merger, which local regulators finally squashed.
