The ideal candidate has five to ten years of experience in corporate communications, crisis, reputation management, media relations and/or public affairs programs in a private sector or government setting. 

A successful candidate will thrive under pressure and understand/meet client needs and demands. The ability to develop new business is a plus. This candidate will be deeply involved in client accounts and play a major role in ensuring our clients receive outstanding service. Excellent media relations and writing skills are a must, as is a need for attention to detail.

Requirements 
  • 5-10 years of PR/Communications experience
  • Agency experience is required
  • Proven ability to work with clients in all industries on both long-term communications assignments and on special situations
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects at once in a high-stakes environment
Responsibilities
  • Serves as account manager on multiple teams
  • Is the client lead and primary contact point for the client
  • Effectively oversees the time and productivity of accounts
  • Develops client collateral, including talking points, messaging, and strategic plans
  • Drafts responses to RFPs or other pitch proposals
  • Manages client projects/programs with minimal supervision from the SVPoR
  • Assists the SVPoR in developing overall client public relations goals and strategies
  • Writes strategic proposals for potential clients that are unique to the client’s issue(s) and needs
  • Is able to quickly and effectively review client deliverables, make worthwhile edits, and articulate the benefit to the client
  • Collaborates with team members to create strategies and tactics for clients
  • Articulately speaks to the media in person and over the phone about the client’s issue(s), message point(s), and digital initiatives
  • Develops and manages budgets for a variety of accounts and projects within accounts
  • Contributes to company growth by participating in business development

A LEVICK Fellow plays a key role in contributing to their team’s efforts. They are expected to actively participate in group discussions and the digital engagement efforts of clients in all of the firm’s practice groups. They demonstrate interest in communications and an understanding of basic media relations tactics. The ideal candidate will have experience pitching reporters, conducting media and internet research, implementing social media tactics, and tracking and analyzing web and social analytics as part of a larger digital and traditional campaign strategy. They should have excellent written and oral communications skills, keen attention to detail, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, Interns will be expected to adhere to tight deadlines.

Requirements 
  • Have a demonstrated interest in communications and digital media
  • B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Policy Science preferred
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
  • Must be a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is the daily norm
  • Must be able to transition easily from working as a team player to working independently
  • Must be someone who strives for excellence, with a desire to grow and learn from the experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pitch reporters, conduct media and Internet research
  • Coordinate and write internal email newsletter
  • Compile daily traditional and digital media reports to monitor clients’ influence online
  • Conduct keyword research and assist in creating website page titles and descriptions
  • Participate in creative brainstorms
  • Assist in content creation for web and social media channels (knowledge of Blog writing in WordPress ideal)
  • Assist in managing clients' social media platforms
  • Assist with Facebook and Twitter advertising campaigns
  • Assist in the production of social media and Google Analytics reports
  • Provide administrative support to your team including but not limited to:

             -Reception desk coverage & Running office errands
             -Sorting and distribution of mail & Shipping packages/postage
             -Checking fax machines, copiers, office supplies, and general office organization
 
           -Setting up catering for meetings and events; cleaning up afterwards
