Account Executive

LEVICK’s Washington, DC office has an opening for an Account Executive. Levick Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day account issues. The AE is responsible for PR and budget management of programs and/or product lines. The AE is expected to exhibit proven competence in performing tactical tasks and demonstrate aptitude for more strategic, long term projects. 

Requirements 
  • 2 - 4 years of experience at PR agency and/or client-side
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing ability across all formats – blog, byline, press release, etc.
  • Proven ability to implement communications campaign from start to finish, including developing plans, executing campaigns, tracking results and reporting on measurement
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects at once in a high-stakes environment

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day client communications and service
  • Participate in client meetings/presentations, provides basic counsel to clients

LEVICK’s Washington, DC office has an opening for a Senior Account Executive. A LEVICK Senior Account Executive will be largely involved with important client accounts and overseeing related operations. Our SAEs play a major leadership role alongside Account Supervisors to ensure our clients receive outstanding service.

Requirements 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience at PR agency and/or client-side

Responsibilities:

The perfect candidate will have extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, capital markets, and the economy. This candidate will be deeply involved in client accounts, at the C-suite and Board level, play a major role in ensuring our clients receive outstanding service, and new business. For the right candidate, geographic location for this position is flexible.

Requirements 
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial communications, corporate communications, and crisis/issue management
  • Communications agency experience is preferred, but not required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain solid relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
  • Willingness to collaborate and grow
  • Well versed in all forms of social, digital, and integrated marketing
  • Experience in working on corporate branding campaigns, regulatory actions, shareholder activism, transactions, corporate litigation, restructurings and bankruptcies, and corporate governance

Vice President, Legal Advisory and Communications

Vice President, Legal Advisory and Communications

LEVICK is seeking a Vice President for our Legal Advisory and Communications Practice. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 15 years of experience.

Requirements 

Writing

  • Participates in new business presentations and writes strategic proposals for potential clients that are unique to the client’s issue(s) and needs.
  • Is able to quickly and effectively review client deliverables, make worthwhile edits, and articulate the benefit to the client.
  • Takes “first pen” on specific, customized client deliverables at client request, or if acting as direct LEVICK contact with legal representation (i.e. – employs personal legal knowledge in direct service of client-facing products)
  • Listens to a client’s point of view and translates it into appropriate messaging that relevant audiences will understand and relate to.
  • Coordinates all legal team review of LEVICK editorial products
  • Proficient at reading a long, complicated document and reducing its major points to a simpler, cogent narrative.
  • Writes almost any deliverable in a relatively short time frame with little supervision from a Senior Vice President.
  • Instructs more junior staff on legal writing style and subject prioritizing based on legal preference

Media Relations

  • Articulately speaks to the media in person and over the phone about the client’s issue(s), message point(s), and digital initiatives.
  • Knows how to appropriately correct a reporter when a story contains false information or other inaccurate or misleading content.
  • Is able to effectively pitch a story or idea.
  • Briefs reporters in person on the fly and in real time (at a trial, congressional hearing, interview, etc.).
  • Takes the time to understand the media landscape in a particular trade, location, or publication, especially from a digital perspective.
  • Works to instruct journalists on legal language, process and nuance, and/or directs journalists to independent, verifiable and accurate third-party information on the law, as it applies to a specific client issue

Client Relationships and Client Knowledge

  • Manages client projects/programs.
  • Deals with the client on key opportunities, issues, and problems.

  • Works with the Senior Vice President to plan weeks or months ahead of time and ensures all aspects of the account run on time.

Sales and Marketing

  • Consistently creates new business through outreach to qualified LEVICK prospects.

A LEVICK Fellow plays a key role in contributing to their team’s efforts. They are expected to actively participate in group discussions and the digital engagement efforts of clients in all of the firm’s practice groups. They demonstrate interest in communications and an understanding of basic media relations tactics. The ideal candidate will have experience pitching reporters, conducting media and internet research, implementing social media tactics, and tracking and analyzing web and social analytics as part of a larger digital and traditional campaign strategy. They should have excellent written and oral communications skills, keen attention to detail, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, Fellows will be expected to adhere to tight deadlines.

Requirements 
  • Have a demonstrated interest in communications and digital media
  • B.A. in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Policy Science preferred
